Lita Rossana Ford (also also known by the name Lita Ford) is a British born American singer on guitar who took as the lead vocalist in The Runaways a female hard rock band in the 70s. They gained attention for their rebellious songs and punk-rock design. Although the band did not achieve much success in America however they became extremely popular in other countries. This was especially true in Japan. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a solo heavy metal musician after the group broke up from 1979. After receiving voice classes, Ford launched her first self-titled album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin on the Edge". The two albums didn't get much attention and Ford was largely absent from the world of rock for several years. Her biggest hit, 'Lita' was released in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. However, her fame was brief, and she went under the radar for a couple of years. Re-emerging with release of "Black" from 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost fifteen years later.
