Annie Mist Thorisdottir, from Reykjavik Iceland is a CrossFit Athlete. She also coaches and instructor in Crossfit Reykjavik. Annie is the first female to be crowned the winner of the CrossFit Games twice. She finished second both in 2010 and 2014. Annie Thorisdottir (Islander) is a weightlifter CrossFit and a media star. She became famous for becoming the first woman to have won twice at the CrossFit Games, in 2011 and 2012 She is also known for winning the Dubai Fitness Competition in 2013 and 2017. Annie was born in Iceland's Reykjavik area along with her parents and siblings. Being an avid sportsman and fitness enthusiast since at an early age, Annie participated in a variety of school sports and was awarded numerous medals. Her first participation was time in 2009, in the CrossFit Games held in California, where she did well. Annie Thorisdottir is 31 years of age (as as of 2021). She stands at 5'7" tall and weighs 67 kilograms. Annie began CrossFit Training in California at the age of 2009. Her performance was impressive in her initial games. She was within the top 10 of 70 competitors. However, she was unable to win any awards and finished 11th in the final rankings. In 2010 Annie finished 1st in European Regionals Qualifier. The coach Jami Tikannen guided her to an overall second place in CrossFit Games, and a medal in the silver category that year. After a year full of CrossFit Games, Annie won her first CrossFit Games. Her dominant performances earned her the title. Annie also won the CrossFit Games in 2012 due to her exceptional performance. It was her first time as a female athlete to be crowned the winner of the two CrossFit Games at once. Also, she received a trophy that was silver in 2014 and an award of bronze at the CrossFit Games in 2021. Annie works as a trainer and coach at Crossfit Reykjavik. It was her idea. Annie has gained notoriety for her athletic talents, has been featured in commercials for sporting products like Reebok Rogue Fitness Transparent Labs Nuun Hydration, Yerbae Renaissance Periodization Transparent Labs and many more.
