When she was 6 she won a surf competition using a broken board that she found in the trash bin outside of her house. The year was 2005 when she began surfing. She took home her very first competition at the age of 6. By the age 7, she received sponsorship. Born to San Clemente California, she eventually moved to Hawaii.
